School Social Worker

Elly Tran is the school social worker at Big Woods and St. Michael Elementary schools. At Big Woods, Ms. Tran works primarily with students who have special education needs. Ms. Tran is dedicated to supporting the social/emotional growth of our students. She works together with staff and families to help students better manage emotions, build friendships and become independent problem solvers. Ms. Tran works on a 6 digital day schedule. She's at St. Michael Elementary on digital days 1 and 5, and at Big Woods on days 2, 3, 4 and 6. She accesses the same email and voicemail in both buildings. Elementary School Counselor

Julie Knudson is our Elementary School Counselor.  Ms. Knudson's goal is to promote the academic and social/emotional growth of all of our amazing students.  She works in partnership with educators and parents to assist students with making positive life choices, cope with difficult life events, appreciate diversity, promote confidence and develop healthy relationships. Ms. Knudson works on a 6 digital day schedule, opposite to Ms. Tran.  She's at Big Woods Elementary on odd digital days and at Fieldstone Elementary on even digital days.
